Supex Polyol for Insulating and waterproofing foam sealant
Supex Polyol used as a liquid using two component spray system. It then expands approximately 20-30 times its original liquid volume to form a hard, closed cell monolithic roof surface. The insulating Foam sealant dries within seconds after applied to the roof surface. Its expansion results in a weather tight roofing layer that is fully fixed to the surface. Because of polyurethane’s lightweight it further adds little weight to the structure. Often used in remedial applications as well.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
SPF requires a clean, dry surface, free of contaminants, for proper application and fastening. Components “A” and “B” (isocyanate and polyol resin) pumped from separate drums, into a specially designed proportioning machine. The two liquid materials are thus kept separate until they pass through the machine. It goes through the pipes and out to gun where they are finally mixed and sprayed onto the surface. The SPF is particularly applied to a thickness defined by the requirement. SPF is typically applied in ½ inch to 1-inch layers, or “passes.” Roof requirements or sloping designs that require more foam are applied in likewise multiple passes. Sprayed down as a liquid, the SPF further rises quickly in seconds. This is walkable on in minutes.
SPF requires protection from the sun’s ultra-violet radiation, moisture as well as foot traffic. A protective layer of elastomeric coating or gravel applied just as the SPF has been applied to the proper thickness and finish specifications. This protective layer produces a durable weather resistant surface which is walkable on for normal maintenance. Coatings are usually installed in two stages: a base coat and consequently a final top coat. often granules embedded into the final coat and in addition offer protection against mechanical ultra-violet damage. Usafe of Silicone, acrylic, butyl rubber, polyurea and other different urethanes for coating.
Alternatively, application of conventional construction techniques on spray foam. This achieves protection of spray foam as well as waterproofing. For example, it is possible to fix chicken mesh and do IPS for a thickness of about 50mm. A china mosaic flooring is further done on top of it . In contrast, people also do Brick Bat Coba (BBC).
Supex Polyol insulating foam sealant
It is a formulated, CFC & HCFC free Polyether Polyol blended system. This formulated performance Polyol is especially developed for spray insulation of roof, wall and general insulation purpose . Conversely, used on High pressure as well as low pressure machines.It gives excellent flow ability, low thermal conductivity and mechanical properties.
Storage Guidelines : As a rule, the materials are sensitive to humidity. Unused and half used drums should be tightly sealed and stored in shade area. The shelf life of Polyol is three months from the date of manufacture.
Other important guidelines
Handling- Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Safety goggles and hand gloves are a must as a rule while using the chemicals.
Ventilation- The area should be well ventilated.
Waste Disposal- The final foam and waste is inert. Thus, disposal carried on as per the guidelines given by local authority.
